Baldur's Gate 3.
Shall I buy the game as someone who has only ever played Stardew Valley, Nintendo games, and MMORPGs like Club Penguin?
You won't regret it. It's vast, and has so much to discover. The romances are great, the combat is fun (I play on easy/story), and you won't need to know DnD to have a great time.
I haven't done it justice in this blurb, but seriously, it's such a great game. It's different from the games you've listed, but I'd say it's most similar to Stardew with its NPC interactions/romances and dungeoning, with the added bonus of:
Edit: this is the last game you'll ever need to buy!
I'm sold.
Karlach. Enough said.
It's very built on the Dungeons and Dragons combat/spell rules, which has been a for and against factor for many friends. I played about 100 hours and sort of put it down. I like it. I like the story, I prefer action games. BG3 is turn based and you can save as often as you want so as much as there's strategic pressure like chess, there's less immediate pressure like hungry hungry hippos.
