We need to pass legislation that enforces standards around the use of the word "news." We could wipe out a number of media hacks just with that.

Fox news was brought to court over fake news. They lost and had to pay 6 months of revenue. But their argument in court was not that they didn't have fake news, but that they are an entertainment channel, not a news channel.

I agree with the sentiment, but I always worry about the extreme 100 years from now

I could definitely see a corrupt government using that legislation to eliminate any news agencies that speak against them
