man, F Apple! I got the apple care plan on my iphone cause I'm gonna ride the sucker into the ground (and at 2 years old now, its the longest I've "Dailyed" a phone). Anyway, my screen is scratched to the shithouse so i took it in to get repaired. Only No, Sorry, the plan covers cracks but not scratches! Fuckers.
@TinyBreak Yeah this has been their policy for ages, but it seems they softened the screen for gen 14 so scratches more easily, but cracks less. My wife offered to drop the unprotected phone onto the tile of the Apple store to smash it would they fix it then. They laughed and said yes but she didnโt follow through.
So its legit, if I smash it they'll just fix it no questions asked?
@TinyBreak 100% would not try this when you could take it outside store drop it then and come back
"Oops, I dropped it off the 16th floor balcony", it's cracked now.
I didnt say that to them, but my thoughts were well, what happens if I go out, smash it in the car park and go "its broke now. Fix it!"
