I really love those symbolic animation sequences. They're so captivating and I'm always impressed by how it communicates the story indirectly.
I understand that non-source readers were a bit confused about the loophole that Akane mentioned this episode as it wasn't super clear from the visualization they did this episode. However, if you know, then it makes a lot of sense. I think that strikes a good balance. It is the kind of thing that when the reveal happens, people will come back and see that with new eyes and have this feeling like it was all there the whole time.
