Windows embedded seems like such a strange choice. I mean, there’s so many free operating systems to choose from. Do people use it just because it ships with the device? It seems like a strange choice that would drive up costs and increase complexity.

At a supermarket they once restarted the scale in the vegetable section and it was on Windows 8. It literally took 5 minutes. I dont know why they dont use Linux…
