Convenience.

Imagine buying a iPhone and not having access to the App Store.

Sure there are ways around it. But the average iPhone user would have a melt down.

Well that's your problem right there.

Honestly, for Android you could actually use Aurora for most things, or only use stuff from F-Droid.
