You can do this with Macrodroid.
Macrodroid is an app that automates various tasks in your phone. It lets you create custom "macros" that trigger actions or sequences of actions in response to specific events.
Follow these steps:
0: Install and open the app ๐
1: Press Add Macro
2: Give it a name
3: Triggers > Battery/Power > Power Connected/Disconnected > Power Disconnected > OK
4: Actions > Screen > Screen On/Off > Screen Off > OK > Lock Screen > OK
5: Constraints > Device State > Device Locked/Unlocked > Device Locked > OK
6: Save
That's about it!
You do need to give it device admin permission and make sure your os doesn't kill the app to "save battery".
You know, I have over 100 macros setup in MacroDroid but I didn't think about using it for this for some reason! It's an amazing app. Everyone should try automation apps.
I always install automation apps and get overwhelmed by the options/features available within them. What are your must used cases with MacroDroid?
Automatically muting notification sound when in certain apps like video players, automatically adjusting auto rotate in certain apps, scanning NFC tags which I attached to the lids of my pill bottles so I can automatically add what I've taken, how much I've taken, and when I took it. And a bunch of other stuff I can't think of off the top of my head lol
I have over 100 macros and I've made an effort to use just about every feature in the app, feel free to ask me questions. MacroDroid also makes it really easy to share Macros which can help too.
Damn, this is awesome. I'll give MacroDroid another try.
Right. It took a while for me to get used to MacroDroid but it worth the effort! It's super exciting to make all these macros.
