Summary

At a European summit in Budapest, UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer assured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of the UK’s “iron-clad” support for Ukraine amidst concerns over potential shifts in U.S. aid following Donald Trump’s election victory.

European leaders, including Hungary’s Viktor Orban, emphasized the need for Europe to take more responsibility for its defense, with Orban cautioning against over-reliance on the U.S.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte warned of the threats posed by Russia and its allies, while Starmer urged Ukraine’s allies to strengthen their commitment to supporting Kyiv.

Something tells me they wouldn't wan a 47-year-old who has two severe illnesses he's dealing with and doesn't have the energy to walk more than about 30 minutes without having to rest for two hours. And also, I've never fired a gun. And I don't speak Ukrainian and I have no money for a plane ticket to get over there and I'm sure there are plenty of other reasons.

So no, I don't think that is the good news.

Also, I'm not cheering death. It is not my fault that Putin invaded Ukraine. I just think he needs to be stopped because he's a fascist dictator and letting fascist dictators take whatever countries they feel like is, in most people's eyes, a bad thing. Your mileage may vary.
