Put an entire movie as a screensaver? (lemmy.ml)

As a Casey Neistat fan, I love that he used to put The Godfather 1 and 2 on loop as screensavers for his monitors.

Yeah, he was using an old mac for that.

I would like to replicate it on KDE Plasma. Someone knows a way to put any movie of my liking as screensaver?

Didn't VLC or winamp do that? I remember doing this a loooong time ago.
