I don't know who saw serrated guards and immediately thought they were all saw blades but they're not saw blades.
I will start calling my chainsaw a "chain with saw serrated guards".
The guards are as much sawblades as barbed wire is.
I'll call my sawblade a hand-held barbed wire then. That sounds fancy.
