- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

Once again, i shall post this meme
We just gave the presidency and both houses of Congress to Republicans. Apparently this is what America wants.
Democrats lost because a big chunk of their base was so disgusted at Democrats' behavior that they stayed home. Do Republican politicians start capitulating to Democrats en masse every time they lose an election? No. They look at their base and ask what they can do to get their votes back. Democrats in response to losing just try even harder to get Republican to vote for them.
Doesn't sound like much of a base if they won't even show up to vote.
I'd love it if the Democrats were farther left, but the left doesn't consistently show up when it matters or else we wouldn't be looking down the barrel of another trump term.
Well, we only had two choices 🤷♂️
And both of them were shit. The difference is that Democrats aren't excited to vote for shit.
You’re correct. It was a steaming lump of an election. We can place the blame firmly on Biden for not bowing out early enough to have a primary.
However…
Not voting is voting, unfortunately. If they don’t like the options, they should do something about it—otherwise stop complaining like a child and vote.
But it doesn’t matter now, the right wing won and they cleaned up enough to ensure they have control for the next few decades. Let’s just hope they are truly as unorganized as they seem.
