I wonder who California would chose, I would have thought Canada but I’m not sure anymore
I would imagine they would choose Mexico to honor their heritage. IIRC California (like Texas) used to be part of Mexico to begin with.
It would be a toss up since San Francisco is full of tech bros like Seattle and Portland, and the movie business does a lot of filming in Vancouver BC.
I definitely could envision Washington and Oregon as Canadian, but I'm not so sure about California. Just a total different vibe for sure, not a bad one or anything (California is great), but probably they'd be happier and better off with Mexico.
