The government will this week introduce legislation to allow the CCC to report on such matters, with Premier David Crisafulli reiterating the LNP’s commitment to restore the watchdog’s powers.

“It was muzzled, and it is going to be unshackled to do its job: to keep the powerful in check, to make sure that the voiceless have a voice,” Crisafulli said this week.

“And if they do a report, it shouldn’t be buried because the report is about a mate.”

I remain highly sceptical until the legislation is revealed and reliable third-parties (i.e., not Labor or the LNP) have vetted it. But at the very least this is good words, and surprising coming from the LNP.

Hopefully Bleijie's conflict isn't going to cause the LNP to renege on their very clear strong election promise to get the Sunshine Coast rail line done before the Olympics.

This part sounds promising...

... but this part sounds like that first part is all lip service.
