Current democrats? Fuck almost all of those guys. But a populist, ground up movement would have an easier time taking over the existing infrastructure of the party than starting a new party from scratch. I think that should be the goal. Like red map did to republicans, but with intelligent, reasonable people instead of the human garbage that now make up the right wing.
Bruh, y'all have had decades to "take over the party". Time's up, join and organize for a worker's party or accept you'd have been the kind of person who tried to wait out the Nazis.
I don't think it's possible.
They can't take over the party starting from scratch because new politicians are never given any positions of authority that would challenge the current structure until they pledged loyalty. And if they get out of line the party will primary them.
