What's the most interesting heroship-vs-heroship you've heard? (startrek.website)

We've all heard Star Destroyer vs Enterprise D by now. Those are fine. Hearing the ones that are gonna be overpowered. That's cool.

I'm just wondering if anyones found any interesting comparisons of different types of tech or different tactics.

Alternatively just your favorite from Star Trek in general. Mine has to be the Swarm vs Enterprise in Star Trek: Beyond. Heartbreaking but beautiful.

Thank you for describing them both in such detail!

  • Galactica's armour can keep out a nuke somehow. Donnager doesn't seem to have that level of capability.
  • Could Donny + 2 or 3 Tachi-level ships keep the raptors and vipers at bay? Not sure, like you said it would be an epic struggle. (I include more than 1 corvette because the Donny seemed to have a lot of space in that dock)
  • The more I think, the more it goes to Galactica. Its raptors would probably overwhelm the point defenses of the poor old Donny.
  • The wildcards are the corvettes. Can they neutralize the fighter threat long enough for the Donny's big guns to come to bear?
  • I also wonder about agility of the 2 big ships.

Dang, now I want someone way more obsessed and creative than me to make a video about it!

Personally I think the only way the Donny could win is if she had her whole fleet with her, even then it's probably a stretch.

The Jupiter Fleet is what the Donnager was flagship to and they aren't described in detail in the books but if we gave her something comparable to a modern carrier group but in MCRN ships she would travel with one carrier (MCRN Donnager), two cruisers (We'll use MCRN Destroyers since they don't have cruisers), three destroyers or frigates (We'll say 3 MCRN frigates since we already have destroyers) and one auxiliary (Supply Ship).

That's a decent amount of firepower but Galactica and Pegasus took down 2 cylon basestars and ~1000 cylon raiders while only losing a couple raptors during the battle of the resurrection ship.

Another notch in the belt for BSG.

Yeah, Big G is on a whole other level. Lol add Pegasus in and they'd probably conquer the whole solar system!
