Politics is a core part of Lemmy, since most of us are here are here on ideological grounds against Reddit.

However, you cannot change someones view on politics. You are acting like its against the rules to be tired of politics, specifically Trump, but the truth is that its okay, and its something alot would agree with. I dont see how thats alien, at all.

Umm.. have you tried having a positive identity instead of negative? I believe it would do a lot for us if lemmy was percieved as a 'community of smart people with interesting discussions' instead of 'not reddit'

The fact that Reddit is by far larger means choosing Lemmy is out of a deliberate choice in its favor systemically. This is usually more ideological in basis.
