Intel fucked themselves with their latest chip issues. I've been building computers for 20+ years, always with Intel chips, but I'm going AMD next time because of all the BS I've been dealing with since installing a 14th gen i5.

Didn't amd have a bunch of thermal issues lately?

Similar boat. When I had just gotten new PC, the whole fiasco with their Intel chips crashing PCs happened. I was agitated that, I had gotten Intel. So if I ever get another PC, it’ll be with AMD.

So you were sticking with Pentium 4 when Athlon was crushing it?

AMD has been better than Intel more than once.

Yes? Was I somehow ambiguous? There's a reason companies tend to aim for folks under a certain age - brand loyalty is a thing.

Intel fucked up bad enough that they've burned through that level of good will.
