That would be global, the OG article is focused on the USA. America does not have a good track record of making sure it's public schools are well funded and being held to a standard.

Never before have we had such access to knowledge. This must have an impact, preferably beneficial.
I say this meme that said something like "practical joke idea: give everyone all the world's knowledge, but don't tell them what's true or false"
We desperately need teachers to help their students learn critical thinking.
