Something we’ve learned is that there’s the public platform, and then there’s what they’ll actually do when in power.
So it’s good to look at the platform and also the historical record for both the party itself and what the individual MPs have done while in power/opposition.
Also worth measuring newcomers to see if they’re actually a good match for the party they say they’re representing.
