There's good country and good emo. Dori Freeman is an excellent country artist, Japandroids are excellent emo (though they step outside of the generic emo box, though that's also kind of my point). It's just that anything that would be played at a mall is hot garbage. Which brings me to my stance: mall pop sucks, all of it.
