glares at current overwhelmingly negative steam reviews for SotS
I did say it's better in my eyes, but recent reviews are "very positive" too.

Wow that must have been recent. last sale It was blood red colors. Good to see it's finally turning around
Seems like they relaunched it only recently
Ohhhhhhh that's how they erased all those negative reviews
"Relaunched" as in doing an overhaul with their recent update. It still sit on "Mostly Negative" on All Time review.
Most of those are old reviews, the final patch which includes major reworks came out a few days ago. It's in a good state now and worth getting.
