Most of the "looks" come from the compositor (picom) and the bar.

Basically it's a piece of software that renders visual effects. It can also eliminate Frame tearing and minor janky visuals that you would see in a Window manager session.

Picom is the one people usually use in Xorg.

Picom allows you to specify window border corner radius and such which can help you fine tune your Rice's looks.

If you ever plan to switch to wayland: dont be confused, there the wm IS the compositor
