Leading up to the vote, the credentials committee had appeared torn on what to do. An initial resolution from Christine Pelosi, the daughter of former Speaker Nancy Pelosi, seeking to dismiss the complaint resulted in a tie vote. A second resolution calling for a new election with the same candidates who participated in February was eventually approved.

~~Why am I not surprised.~~ Someone corrected me below. I misread.

Christine Pelosi was trying to dismiss the complaint (i.e., make the elections stick).

While I generally bag on people with low literacy, I have to accept my own failure on this one. Apologies and thank you. My bias was working overdrive and / or I wasn't processing all the info.

Perhaps an edit on the original comment for people who didn't make it as deep? Good on you for admitting it, but the disinfo is still there.
