I feel like I missed a reference somewhere. Do the bees represent or reference something?

I thought it represented the idea that on your own you most likely wouldn't be able to hurt a cop, but if you work together as a group that they wouldn't stand a chance.

According to my quick search, you completely fabricated that. And I'm a gun nut, you would think I would have heard that somewhere.

This is the most social media response I have read all day

Got backing? I couldn't find a single source. Not without really stretching. OP claims:

Bees sometimes mean bullets

Find that, any way you like.

Wait you’re a gun nut and aren’t familiar with the swarm of angry bees?

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world -2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Posting again: Yes, Ian covered that gun on Forgotten Weapons. It's rare and weird, who actually has one, has seen one, has used one? How many people would relate that episode to this meme shirt?

Search anyway you like and show me bullets related to bees in any sort of even mildly popular reference.

It’s pretty common in literature, one that pops up immediately is Hemingway liked to use that imagery, it’s definitely in a farewell to arms.

I’m gonna stop here and let you have your own opinion just the same.

and you've never heard of the American-180? Which is colloqially known as the swarm of angry bees?

[–] shalafi@lemmy.world -3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Yeah, but only because I saw Ian's presentation on Forgotten Weapons. Hardly a widespread meme.

Got any sources for "bees = bullets"? Please, show your work. Can't show mine because I can't find any.

All cops attract bees
