They do, it's called a house.
Which everyone doesn't have, let alone one that's worth anywhere near $400k.
ah yes let me just do buy some groceries with the house i totally own.
also most houses are actually owned by banks with a little thing called a mortgage, you might not have heard of it.
I'm not saying it's great. It's pretty shit that so much wealth is tied up in property.
But if you're looking for where the money is, that's where it ended up. Parents and grandparents around the country are technically millionaires, and they can't spend it.
No this is where the wealth went, to the 0.1%
Owning 25% of a 400k house isn't the same as having 400k in wealth.
If everyone has 400k then it's not wealth. It's table stakes.
Wealth means the assets you own. Has nothing to do with someone being rich or not. Please keep stupid comments like this to yourself.
