The point of protesting in peak hour is to point out the disparity between how motorists are treated when one major route into the city is closed for an hour, versus how active transport users are treated."

That's the spirit! Always found it a bit weird that you had to have permission to protest. Like... you're taking action on something you feel really strongly about after all the usual methods have failed. Needing permission to get angry is weird.
