@zzx @visaVisa I'd settle for him finding it a career necessity to become a born-again Christian a la Russell Brand.
He and his cult already have Hell/Pascal’s Wager (Roko’s Basilisk), a good chunk of Russian Cosmism (pretty much the entirety of transhumanism) and a very skewed gender balance, so finding their way back through one of the branches of Russian Orthodoxy that appeal to right-wing American men angry at how “woke” and feminised the world has gotten might be the most likely option.
LW are the fundamentalist baptists of AI not even Russian Orthodox lol
Everytime I get freaked out by AI doom posts on twitter they're always coming from a LW goon who's street preaching about how we need to count our Christmases :< i just saw one that got my nerves on edge and checked their account and they had "printed HPMOR" in their bio and I facepalmed
