I bet it would taste good if you cooked the onions down until they are caramelized. I think the sweetened would complement the peanut butter similar to jelly.

goddamnit i have to do this now.

e: ok so instead of caramelized onions i have a smattering of diced onion and jalapeño, fried in olive oil with a small amount of mostly burned parmesian. it’s sweet and spicy and bitter, and i’m going to make it into an ill conceived grilled cheese + peanut butter.

god give me strength.
