In the mind of the USAian liberal, this is also because of Russia. Things used to be great, but now they're bad because the foreigners are controlling the president.

In the minds of anyone with a passing understanding of Russian foreign policy can absolutely see they have their hooks in Trump and you would have to have a significant deficit in logical thinking skills to believe otherwise. That being said that only accounts for some of the war, violence, and agitation the USA is involved in.
