I wonder how long until one of the insurrectionists is successful? I'm sure there are many more than just this man with a chip on their shoulder, and too much confidence.

Too much confidence in what sense? Seriously, what happens when we see someone kill someone in a really pro-Trump way and spew pro-Trump bullshit at every opportunity. Might they get pardoned?

Confidence in their ability to get away with it. They've been pardoned once, why not again?

You're right to ask the question, it's an unsettling thought that something like that is actually plausible.

We're thinking similarly :). The Minnesota shootings is probably the test case at the moment (https://www.npr.org/2025/06/16/nx-s1-5433748/minnesota-shooting-suspect-vance-boelter-arrested-melissa-hortman-john-hoffman). No terrorism charges laid AFAIK despite targeting multiple legislators. How crazy far will the impunity (and increased criminal brazenness as a result) of sycophants go and how quickly?
