This is a great example of why devs need to stop using sh scripts to setup their software. Perhaps with an immutable filesystem this is simpler, but surely there's a better way.

That is one of the worst webmaps I've ever used.
Try installing uplay within the proton prefix. I had to do this for a few Ubisoft games.
No performance impact, and some of the plugins allow you to tweak the hardware settings to actually improve performance.
I've had it crash many times, resulting in me having to reinstall it and all my plugins. Additionally I have occasional problems with TabMaster just deciding to not work anymore.
Overall though it works well enough that I still use it.
Maybe advertising it better would help? I've literally never heard of this festival and I live close enough to attend.
I always find it fascinating that people enjoyed him. I personally thought his character was incredibly annoying, and I just wanted him to stfu. I guess that's the point though.
Never had one growing up so I can't say. I've only ever used the updated model that was a bit smaller, but I do like the feel of it.
I've always held my N64 controllers from the two side "horns", never the intended way. My fingers can reach all the buttons fine.
I have never been more satisfied holding a gaming handheld like I have with the Steam Deck. It fits in my giant meat paws nicely, and I don't find it too heavy at all. I can easily play multiple hours handheld without issue.
I get cramps with pretty much any other handheld, they're just too small. I could barely play my Switch for more than 30-40 minutes at a time.
The article says this build is for Steam Deck only, there won't be a desktop release. At least, not with this build, maybe in the future.
