Access mostly relates to socioeconomic factors, but you’re largely correct. Use is notably higher in more affluent areas, but snakes are largely homeless and unsupported through reproductive legislation so that rarely matters.

[–] oo1 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

These snakes both lay and eat eggs, so they can get abortion with breakfast.

[–] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

I think I’ll leave the snake jokes to you. That was really good

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

The fuck are you talking about.

[–] TheDoozer@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Diaphragms are a form of birth control. They are making a joke by deliberating misinterpreting the specific meaning of the word used in an absurdist way, in the Mad Hatter style.

[–] ___@graffitiwall.net 3 points 2 weeks ago

@TheDoozer@lemmy.world

youre kind for providing the explanation. been laughing my head off over this conversation.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Yeah we all get that, we don't get why they felt the necessity to set it up by being rude to a random.

It seems like a bad attempt to cover-up a mistake but whatever.

[–] littletoolshed@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I definitely did not think they were being rude, and thought their reply was hilarious.

Sometimes I reply with these bland and lifeless replies, knowing full goddamn well what the OP is saying, just to get the conversation juices flowing. This one went great till I noticed all the downvotes 😵

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

That's nice, it seems a lot of people feel otherwise.

That's nice.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That is a good question. Why are you being rude to randoms?

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Who have I been rude to that wasn't rude to me or someone else first?

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You were deffo rude first, sorry.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That's how you feel, that isn't however factually sound even by the jerks admission.

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Ah, looking at your comment history, you just look for reasons to argue. Not my scene, have a good day.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

Yes yes, I sought you out and implanted the idea for you to speak to me, I'm just so damned nefarious like that.

Can you legitimately not understand or are you just upset? I’m willing to explain the correlation between contraceptive use and economics, if it’s the former

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Your dogshit diaphragm joke is a pun. Whatever that jumble of shit is would be word salad.

[–] TheTetrapod@lemmy.world 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He's referencing a legitimate talking point about birth control, and in that light his comment made perfect sense. The whole second half of this thread reads like you got whooshed and then double downed after you realized what happened.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

That's neat, no one gives a shit about the shitty joke. People care that they decided to punch down on some random to set up a terrible fuckin joke and instead of being like "hey my bad I could have waited for literally anyone who got the joke to set me up instead" they decided to double down on being a condescending dickhead.

[–] littletoolshed@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Nobody got punched down, please

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago

That's literally how they setup the joke, they even admit that.

[–] LwL@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Dunno, the joke becomes obvious if you check the link, and the link being "diaphragm (birth control)" is effectively the joke indicator. The comment works as a joke all on its own, it's not a setup.

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

I get the joke, the person they're being rude to didn't. Simple.

[–] reptar@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

And what are you doubling down on?

There's so many silly puns out there, your job must be exhausting!

[–] Madison420@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Not being rude to strangers for your own personal amusement.

No one cares about the pun.
