My son is 18, works his job comes and plays games. I envy that freedom and will do anything to help foster for him to continue that. Life as an adult is hard enough. No sense taking away the little fun adults can have in the 21st century. He happy he can buy the games we couldn't afford to buy him.

Its also much cheaper and less destructive, both socially and health-wise, than many alternatives

Definitely cheaper than his 16 year old brother. He is a drummer and we are having a debate on buying him new symbols even though we just bought him this drum kit in April. It was a thousand dollars and was not a beginner set. So I definitely wish he was just asking for steam games. That doesn't include the base guitar and couple of amps.
