After some major studios clutched their pearls over AMC Theatres‘ decision

Would say that's definitely not "clutching their pearls" and is a huge misuse of that phrase, and minimizes the actual problem.

Who the hell wants 30 minutes of ads? Remember, friends don't let friends go to AMC.
