Even when they are, they’re downgrading her position in the company to an “employee”.
She was the "CEO" of a Blackstone real estate trust, to be clear. Not of the whole company.
If that’s the perspective, then all CEO’s are employees. Being the CEO of a subsidiary is still a very high and noteworthy position.
