Outlawing the competition that spells the doom of their entire scheme (eg. synthetic/cel-cultured meats),
Leveraging education depts to flat-out lie to our children
Tainting our political spheres with "lobbying" to benefit the rich and richer
Sapping hard-won labor & human rights safeguards to assist all of the above, and more...

With respect, what about this is "news", insofar as any of it's shockingly unexpected or even mildly revelatory?

Fossil fuel's been doing this since the Industrial Revolution kicked off, and they took pages from even earlier books.

Not to quote ancient wise men (prehistoric, even?), but "When are we gonna learn?" 😅😶
