Can't complain I guess. Like a true Lemmy user, I finally decided to go to Linux rather than use Win11 for my home PC. I was able to set up the stuff I commonly use and find alternatives that I'm happy with for stuff that doesn't support Linux.
I've been thinking about Linux, too. I've always resisted because a) games, b) Solidworks, and c) lazy. At this point, every game I play seems to be compatible, and I've seen a few Wine configs that supposedly work fine with SW, so I might as well just get off my butt and do the thing. My desktop is still on Windows 10, and it's kind of a comfort thing. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's hesitant to switch OS's after 10 years of getting extremely comfortable with one thing. It seems like Linux is more "mainstream" and accessible than ever, so no better time like the present.
What distro did you go with?
I'm using MX Linux with Plasma.
