I just played Rescue Refused, which I made a post about here yesterday.
It's exactly 1,000 words, short but sweet. Cute art. Made for the Only One of Any Asset VN Jam 2025. Can be played in browser, including on a phone! I finished the game within less than 10 minutes.
on gameplay
You die and restart the game, which opens up a new option for you to select to extend your life. This happens a couple times until you finally get the option that lets you live. It's very obvious what you're supposed to do.
