It's not an excuse. It's reality.
People had two choices last election. Someone who offered more of the same, Harris, or someone who offered at least some sort of change.
They went with the person who offered at least some sort of change. Call them Nazi sympathizers all you want, I guess? Shaming and attacking people for their voting as being evil people isn't going to get them to come over to your side. If anything it will just make them dig their heels in.
I could promise to do nothing to you OR promise to stab you in the gut. If you choose the latter because you want “change” and don’t care about what it actually is then you’re just an idiot who shouldn’t be making decisions.
Everything was on the table and extremely obvious. If getting centrists on the right side of history is more dependent on making them feel good and special than on getting them to just make the obviously right choices then everything is already fucked and they’re just going to keep moving the goalposts as they see what they can get away with. Everyone who “just wants change” will never vote far left, only far right, and that’s pretty fucking telling.
If you’re on the fence when Donald Trump is one of the options there’s no fucking help for you and I’m not going to sit here comforting your awful decision so you can feel like a special little baby.
It was to you. Other people aren't you. What is obvious to you, isn't obvious to other people.
This is where you are failing to understand the issue. Other people are not you. They don't think like you do. They don't reason like you do. They are entirely different than you.
Be angry about it all you want. It won't change the facts that other people's votes, or non votes, count as much as yours and there isn't a thing you can do about it. But hey, it probably makes you feel like you're special, right?
If other people can look at Donald Trump and the Republicans of the last few years and still be on the fence then it doesn’t matter if they’re me or not, they’re at best very stupid but more likely they’re at least a little ok with all the terrible things they promised to do and that is pathetic behaviour I will never compromise on. That’s all I’ve been saying, and I don’t know why you seem to think that means I don’t understand the issue.
I’m not compromising with people who think that the basic human rights of minorities and working folk are optional. They can get their shit together or take a fucking hike and I’m not giving any validity to their willingness to throw peoples’ lives away just so the price of the groceries will still go up.
You don’t have the moral highground, you’re just terrified of having a strong opinion and so place yourself somewhere you can claim not to be “extreme”.
This is precisely how I feel about people who still support the democrats after they supported and enabled the modern holocaust.
Agreed entirely. Most people are so fucking stupid, they couldn’t even be considered conscious.
While it may SEEM most other humans have that trait, I’m not so sure any more. Most of us are just cancerous tumors; growing by consuming the host without thought about what that means for them at the end.
