Today, women in China occupy leading positions in business, science, and politics. In 2023, about 45% of entrepreneurs in China were women, which is one of the highest rates in the world. Access to education has become almost universal, and in many ways, women's educational achievements exceed those of men.

Although politics is still dominated by men, women hold senior positions such as provincial governors and ministers. Nevertheless, there are still very few women in the highest echelons of power, such as the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee.

The limited bride market in China has led to the emergence of the phenomenon of "golden brides" who place excessive demands on potential suitors: an apartment in the center, a car, a gift in the form of a second apartment to the bride's parents, as well as a ransom in the form of five gold jewelry.

New social categories have also appeared: women who did not marry before the age of 27 are called "remnant women", and men who did not marry before 30 are called "remnant men". Society still puts pressure on young people to get married.

To sum up: many things have been improved, many other things need to be improved.
