Newsom isn't great but he's leagues ahead of the small fingered vulgarian. I'm not going to let the perfect be the enemy of the good. He's going to get my vote if he runs.
“He’s not perfect” is such a weird way to describe someone whose policies are literally killing people just in his home state. Where and when are we going to draw the line on this shit?
What? Do something else so that a petty despot like the small fingered vulgarian can win again? Seriously.
Are you a liberal?
If not, why wouldn't you throw your support behind a leftist or progressive candidate at least until the primaries are over? I am 100% for not letting perfect be the enemy of the good, but I am also against letting mediocrity be the enemy of the good.
Because the next step is more important that the perfect step. Sander's and people like him can't win right now. I want to support progress and sometimes that means smaller steps.
Unless someone better takes the place first. If newsom's all we get then that's what I'll vote for because of how our voting system works, but I have faith that a good quality primary will bring a better candidate to the limelight
Spoiler alert: it will not.
Let me have my positivity while it doesn't count.
