I agree that the whole American exceptionalism mindset definitely needs to go (although they're hardly unique in using the sin of pride under the guise of "patriotism" as a blinder-laden rallying call), but going full "eye for an eye" - be it destroying America, Israel, or whoever - makes you no better than them.
