I'm new to Germany but this seems pretty on par for the FDP. I haven't seen or read a single thing that's shown me the party as a whole is interested in actual public service. After their sabotage of the traffic light coalition the party should be publicly shunned.

The FDP are neoliberals. This means, that they are the parliamentary arm of the burgoise. They do not care about anything else than making rich people even richer and the rest even poorer. They do not even care about the standard arguments of "liberalism" like allowing people to do what they want. Their definition means freedom for all that have the money for it.

I disagree. The FDP did support the legalization of Cannabis. They are also against the precautionary retention of IP addresses ("Vorratsdatenspeicherung") [1]. Additionally, they are firmly against chat control, which has been a continuously hot topic for many years at this point [2].

I personally disagree on almost any other topic with the FDP, for the reasons you've pointed out. But when it comes to surveillance and personal freedom they are indeed liberal.

Two hits, among hundreds of misses. And they are probably againts IP address retention because that would allow them to hide their crimes better.

It’s mindblowing how little fucks they give about the country. They’d rather sabotage the entire country’s economy than make the Ampel a success.
