That's what I'm asking! I would assume that they would be some sort of non-profit that would operate on FOSS, but is that really even an option w/r/t security? Proton has FOSS licensing, but their backend isn't really open is it?

The OP is talking about email, and the comment I replied to was talking about open software for businesses, so I was asking for alternatives. I'm not really tech savvy enough to operate my own private email server.
