“We can never return what was taken from Mr. Hooper in 1998 and for that, I am sorry. However, we can do the right thing today, and today we are joining the petition to vacate Mr. Hooper’s conviction.”

Uhh wtf. No you can fucking pay him for spending almost three decades in jail after y’all fucking listened to someone who was already under investigation and had left evidence at the fucking crime scene.

He deserves to live high and mighty the rest of his fucking life. Petition my ass.

I was about to say, this is one of the times where when you leave jail, the prosecutor who put you there should be waiting with a briefcase full of cash for you and all the paperwork done to vacate the conviction in the first place, AT MINIMUM.
