Cunningham and her fellow proponents of the petition can now start gathering the 74,574 signatures of registered voters they’ll need to submit to the Secretary of the Commonwealth by Dec. 3, 2025, to work toward qualifying for the ballot.

I hope they get on the ballot. I want to see how lopsided the vote is.

Oh I bet they can find that many if they try hard enough. It will be difficult though unless they lie about what the petition is for. Which is illegal in every state that allows ballot initiatives like this. And as with all signature petitions like that you really need 30% extra to compensate for ones that get thrown out. Duplicates from people signing multiple times, signatures missing voter info for verification, signatures on a form for one county but the voter is from a different county, etc. Hell even signing or writing outside the box is enough to be tossed in some states.

They won't get nearly enough votes to actually pass it though even if they can get it on the ballot.
