Image description: A young woman with brown eyes, long dark brown hair, and a flustered expression with a heavy blush on a pathway at night, cupping her cheeks with both hands while averting eye contact with the viewer. She is wearing a white, long-sleeved dress with a high ruffled collar and puffy shoulders, which is adorned with multiple light blue bows and ribbons. The background is a garden at night, showing a stone path, dark green bushes, and a stone pillar under a dark blue sky.

Don’t know what I don’t know. Only watched the first two episodes and nothing else but the first almost completely turned me off with the massive amount of exposition in the beginning. that’s what I meant that they screwed up…motion formats should “show, not tell” important things. Just narrating stuff is bad writing when dealing with cinema or anime. The second turn off was it felt like it was being mysterious by leaving things out for the sake of being “mysterious”, rather than actually building mystery. Again another bad writing trope.
I will say, the second episode was better and more engaging and eliminated those issues. I’ll give it a third to see where it goes from there, but it felt like the first was an extreme caricature of what it should be in an attempt to lure in viewers but had the opposite effect.
