Some Rules

Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don't promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

Any one know a good custom rom for Fairphones? Is /e/OS a good option?

Are there downsides that arent realy known?

When CalyxOS starts getting reliable monthly releases again i would recommend it over /e/os but at the moment there isnt much else except for ubuntu touch.

I did prefer CalyxOS over /e/OS (and not only because it has a better name). I'm really disapointed about that situation regarding the OS. I hope it will come soon and stronger

What's up with CalyxOS? Using it on FP4 right now, based on PrivacyGuides reccomendation.

The founder of the Calyx Institute and the CalyxOS Tech Lead have left the project and this means the signing keys are changing and everyone will have to re install once the new version comes out. Until then you just have to decide whether you are fine with a few months of no system updates. Once the new devs get their first release out you can most likely use the seedvault backup to easily switch.

You should have gotten a critical system notification after the last update which came out a few days ago. Have you not?
