When my family first immigrated to the US, my mom warned me to shut up and stop criticizing the government (like both the government back home and here). I thought but First Amendment? Free Speech?

So here we are a decade later. The Atmosphere feels like PRC again.

I guess now it's: Hail Chairman trump? Long live the Emperor? (is ICE gone yet? 👀)

I know, I just felt like utilizing my First Amendment right before I lose it. I agree with you completely, and it's scary the direction the US is going right now.
