Was surprised no one bothered to post this give how big of a reaction this story got.

Wanted to post the update and correction cause that deserves to be seen just as much. This seems like a reasonable, thoughtful handling of the issue.

I still don't really wanna use Ubuntu though 😅

Yeah, I wasn't trying to offer commentary. It was pure observation.

The irony in all of this is that we all bring expectation and prejudice to any discussion (and to think we don't is pure hubris). So, I expected my extemporaneous comment to be controversial when I hit that post button.
